01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Restaurant Bain is a charming French and Mediterranean culinary gem nestled in the heart of Comps-sur-Artuby at 20 Av. du Fayet. This family-owned establishment invites diners to savor traditional Provençal flavors crafted with passion and finesse, offering an authentic taste of the region’s rich gastronomic heritage.

Step onto the sun-dappled terrace, where the vibrant ambiance of this quaint village blends effortlessly with the cheerful service — a combination praised by many for its warmth and efficiency. Whether it’s a leisurely lunch soaking up the gentle Provençal breeze or an intimate evening meal, Restaurant Bain provides an inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary journey.

The menu is a celebration of refined simplicity and depth of flavor. Delight in the incredibly fresh tartar, a standout favorite that resonates with purity and delicate seasoning, or indulge in the stuffed pigeon, an expertly prepared dish that customers have raved about for its exquisite tenderness and bold, comforting aromas. Each plate is a testament to time-honored recipes, executed with meticulous care and balanced by the finest local ingredients.

While the food delights the palate, the attentive service ensures your experience is seamless. Some guests have noted a minor wait after the first course, but the heartfelt smiles from the staff and the genuine hospitality more than compensate, creating memories that draw visitors back time and again.

One can’t ignore the decadent desserts — be cautious, as they're noted to be irresistibly indulgent, with puddings so tempting they’ve garnered playful warnings about their calorie count! The legendary Irish coffee here has even been described as the best in France, a fitting cap to a remarkable meal and a tribute to the caring team behind the scenes.

Whether you’re craving traditional French fare or Mediterranean delicacies, you’ll find yourself longing to return, just as one satisfied patron wished to dine there every day. This hidden treasure is a must-visit for those seeking authentic tastes paired with genuine Provençal charm.

A well run family hotel. 300 years of history and great quality food - watch the puddings though, you put on pounds just looking at them.

This family owned Provencal has been there since the road was a track and is a good place to eat. Service is with a smile and efficient. Food is traditional and well prepared. Lunch on the terrace is always pleasent with a vibrancy not often found in French country villages. Very good value.

Good food that initially came quickly, nice servers, but after the first dish no-one came to take our plates or ask if we wanted dessert or coffee, despite us trying to contact the waiters. We ended up paying at the bar.
